Empire at Earth: Episode 3

Just wanted to throw a quick shout out to fans of Pissed Iguana Productions' little brother company (Mystic Powers Productions). They have the next addition to Empire at Earth out and it is sporting a pretty amazing logo. Click HERE to check out Episode 3.

If you are a fan of the series, you will want to check out the newest, and best addition to the series. If you are not yet a fan, please check out episode one HERE, and watch all three episodes. It is a fairly new series, but sports many similarities to Pissed Iguana Productions projects and the series is owned by PIP's very own Frank Moucatel, that is why we feature news about it on the PIP update when it isn't a PIP film.

We will have a PIP related update this weekend! Tune in! For now, just enjoy EAE Episode 3 and wait for news!

Rolling Out the New Stuff

Hello PIP fans! I know it has been a while since our last update, but things have been hectic. School has started, and now that I am set into a routine, I am ready to resume work on movies in my spare time.

Our current project, Jurassic Prick: Reanimated, is going well. I actually have a release date: September 18th, 2009. That is when the world gets to see the updated, ridiculous adventure. There are some HUGE changes to one aspect of the video. I cannot speak much about it, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it on youtube before. Let me put it to you this way: When it comes to making a movie at PIP, there are always six steps. With this video, there are seven.

Step 1) Script

Step 2) Filming

Step 3) Voice recording

Step 4) Editing/Special Effects

Step 5) Rendering

Step 6) Uploading

The Step 7 for Jurassic Prick: Reanimated?

Engineering.

It is going to be a hard thing to do, but when I engineer this new aspect that Reece and me came up with for the new video, I think a lot of people will enjoy it! I am keeping my lips sealed until the video is released, but you will know the new element of video editing when you see it.

Hint: It takes place a little after the middle of the video.

Many of you probably noticed the new header at the top of the page, our new youtube banner at the top, and the new subscribe button. This is all part of the new PIP advertising campaign: "Evil". We have made a new logo that comes before every video to replace the old logo. We really wanted the logo before every video to represent an evil, pissed iguana. So, the new logo and advertising campaign "evil" is consistant across everything that is PIP. Let us know your thoughts either by youtube message or on the chat! A few more updates are still coming to the website when it comes to the new "evil" advertising campaign, so stay tuned!

Spartans Versus Beanies has been getting lots of attention from Bungie, which I am eternally grateful for! Thank you Bungie! In fact, Bungie said that SVB (all 37 episodes) have a "riveting story". I was very happy to hear that from THE Bungie studios, and it gives me the motivation to push forward.

Spartans Versus Beanies: Episode 5 reanimated is our last summer release after Jurassic Prick: Reanimated. It will be a little different than the original, but much, much better.

On the machimima front, we are currently working on upgrading to new hardware to prepare for the Schmucks of War mess to start. More updates on that when I have something to tell you.

SVB Episode 4: Reanimated Released!

Just wanted to make a REALLY quick update to say that the episode to end all episodes is complete. That's right ladies and gentlemen. The Tag has arrived!!

It was reserved especially for 11 die hard fans until just now it went public for all to see. This episode is a prime example of SVB: Reanimation at it's finest. The original episode has NOTHING on this one. Literally. There is nothing to compare, they are the same exact things, except one is HD and looks real!

SVB Episode 3: Reanimated Released!

PIP 3.0

This update I have no progress to update except for the new 3.0 quality. This update is about PIP 3.0. What is that exactly? Well, allow me to tell you.

I'll start with talking about PIP 1.0. PIP 1.0 is when Pissed Iguana Productions (PIP) made videos in LOW quality. Examples of PIP 1.0 quality are Spartans Versus Beanies: Seasons 1-5 (non-reanimated), Jurassic Prick (non-reanimated), and Elites Versus Spartans. The jokes may have been funny, but the writing was terrible, and often had the words "anyways", and rambling dialog that could have easily been summed up in about 5 times less dialog. The camera used was so blurry that you couldn't even make out the faces, the audio quality was so muffled and crappy that every character sounded very similar and it was difficult to tell who was talking at times. PIP 1.0 lasted for about a year and a half. Then 2006 came.

In 2006, Mr. Frank Moucatel of Mystic Powers Productions introduced me to after effects and chroma keying. I taught myself how to use Sony Vegas and learned how to use effects in there. Afterward, I got a new camera. I upgraded from a 1 megapixel (terrible camera) to a 7 megapixel (muchhhhh better). The microphone on the camera was much better also, which added to the increase in quality. This stage of development, I refer to as PIP 2.0. Examples of movies made during this stage are Ninja Turtles vs. Primal Rage, Schmucks of War: Season 1, and Spartans Versus Beanies: Season 6. The writing in this stage was also upgraded to the next level. You noticed increases in quality of dialog and story, and massive leaps in the joke quality.

When we got the new HIGH DEFINITION microphone at the end of Spartans Versus Beanies: Season 6, we were upgraded to PIP 2.5, because the audio was in "3.0 mode" but the visuals, effects, and writing quality were still in "2.0 mode" so to speak. After the mic, a few months later I purchased a $500 HD camera, which brought us up to PIP 2.75. Examples to PIP 2.75 are SVB: Reanimated episodes 1 and 2. But we still weren't quite up to PIP 3.0 because the effects and writing were still in 2.0 mode.

I am proud to announce that Pissed Iguana Productions is finally upgraded to it's full 3.0 mode. I purchased a product that has brought our special effects to 3.0 standards. It is called action essentials 2 by video copilot. They are high definition, and realistic as hell! A "must have" for any aspiring video maker. You can check it out to see if you would like to buy it HERE. And please, do not pirate the effects, because they are worth every penny! Some examples of new effects will be: Spartans Versus Beanies Episodes 3-30, and Season 7 and on. Also, Jurassic Prick: Reanimated will have 3.0 effects. So, those of you who cannot wait to see the new effects in action, they will be presented for the first time, in SVB: Episode 3. Coming soon. I have been perfecting my writing styles and they are finally up to 3.0 standards. You will not see evidence of this until Schmucks of War:

Season 2, Spartans Versus Beanies: Season 7, and other future movies. You won't see much evidence of this in Reanimated Jurassic Prick or Spartans Versus Beanies because the stories have to stay similar to the old writing style. But when Season 7 of SVB comes along, you will see MANY examples of the 3.0 writing style. There are MANY interweaving story arches and so many things happening in Season 7. The only thing I am afraid of, is that the viewers won't be able to handle it! haha.

That is all I have in store for you today, but next weekend when I am back from my vacation to Buffalo, NY to see my family, I will update the website and have some awesome stuff for you! I promise!

A picture-heavy update!!

Hello PIP fans! I bet everyone loves the fact that I am updating about twice a week now, huh? What do those NOOBS that talked bad about me "not updating enough" have to say now? Nothing. Because they got owned.

Anyways, progress is going slow, but still moving. We went out into the woods and started to re-film an old classic yesterday. We were EATEN ALIVE by mosquitoes for YOU FANS, so I hope you appreciate what we are going through. Here is a taste of the fruits of our labor:

It was a very interesting day. I lost around 3 gallons of blood. More information on that in another update. For now, that's all you get.

Season 7 progress has almost come to a screeching halt. Wehave decided, however, to make TWO trailers for season 7. One SOON, that will have VERY little in it. Just a little teaser. Then a month or so later an actual trailer will come out that will be LONG, like 3 minutes. The teaser will only be around 30 seconds or so.

More news on that in another update as well.

Reanimation is coming along very well. The response to the videos has been phenomenal! Both hard-core fans, and noobies to the series love the reanimated goodness. I don't know about you guys, but I cannot wait for the day when I can watch episode 1 of SVB all the way to episode 37 and have ALL of them be awesome quality. That day will come someday. Someday.

Schmucks of War fans, we are currently very busy with everything going on, but we promise that SOW is still a main focus on our agenda and always will be, even if it doesn't seem like it. Schmucks of War keeps hitting snags, it's almost like it is not meant to come out. The biggest problem we have is getting people together to work on scripts. The other main problem we have is that my xbox keeps having technical issues. The latest one is that the wireless adapter randomly stopped working. For no reason. The wireless adapter is no longer in one piece. I gave it a REASON to no longer work. We promise though, Schmucks of War WILL come out this year. Possibly not summer, but this year for sure. I will update more about it when I have something to update.

I have to try to get as much stuff done for PIP as I can before the 15th, because I go to NY for a family vacation then. But I assure you, I will get as much done as I possibly can. I will update one last time before I leave (the 14th or 15th), then I will update the day I come back (20th or so).

Happy Independence Day everyone!!!

To show our patriotism, us at Pissed Iguana Productions decided to release SVB Episode 2 (Reanimated). You can watch in on youtube HERE, please rate and comment, or you can go HERE and download it!

I hope you guys like the new version of it. God knows it is WAY ahead of the old version. Not just cosmetic wise either! The writing in that episode was so God-awful, that it HAD to be be re-written. I think you guys will love the re-write tho, because it actually makes the episode very funny, as where the old one sucked balls. I love all of SVB, since it is my baby, except the original episode 2. I hated that episode so much due to the lack-luster writing on my part, but now I can say that I love all of SVB.

I will leave the old episode up for a day just so you can see how much better the new one is. After that, the old episode will be removed from youtube and deleted forever. I won't even have it on my hard drive, so if you have never seen the old one, consider yourself lucky. It sucks. Re-animated episodes will continue to take the place of old episode MINUS episodes: 1 and 4. Episodes 1 and 4 will have BOTH version on youtube (reanimated AND old-school), only because they are classics. The other 28 episodes undergoing "reanimation" will be replaced with their newer counterparts and forever forgotten. This sounds sad I know, but there is going to be literally no reason to have them on here other than nostalgic value since they will be the SAME THING but WAY better. And pure nostalgic value isn't a good-enough reason when I am running low on bandwidth!

I have a pretty...interesting update coming up next week!
